Fees

Children under the early intervention scheme, those with a diagnosed condition including Autism, developmental delays or other disabilities may be eligible to receive funding under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). 

Sunrise Speech Pathology is an NDIS provider. We provide services to those whose NDIS plan is either plan-managed or self-managed (capacity building supports). 

We follow the NDIS price guide for our speech pathology services at the hourly rate of $193.99. Both speech assessment and therapy sessions are charged at the same rate. Assessment duration depends on each individual’s needs and complexity. Assessment reports are recommended and will be provided upon request. Reports are charged at the same rate per hour. 

Speech therapy sessions range from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs. Your speech pathologist will discuss therapy frequency and duration with you to suit your child’s needs. Most therapy sessions are weekly or fortnightly, for a block of therapy services. 

Travel costs apply to offsite sessions (at schools or childcares) with an hourly rate of $193.99 depending on the time required for travel. Please contact us for details. 

45-min session: $145.49

60-min session: $193.99

*All sessions include a 15-min documentation time for your speech pathologist to prepare for the session, create therapy material, communicate with teachers (if necessary) and record therapy outcomes in the form of clinical notes. 

For those without NDIS funding (private paying), each speech pathology session will be charged at the rate of $180 per hour. Speech assessment and speech therapy sessions are charged at the same rate.

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)

Also known as GP plan, Team Care Arrangement, or formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, this plan allows your child to access up to 5 subsidised speech therapy sessions per calendar year.  

You will need a referral letter from the GP in order to access this plan. Your child does not need to have a ‘chronic illness’ to be eligible for this plan, your GP will determine the eligibility and fill out a referral form. Please take this referral form to your first Speech Pathology appointment.

Helping Children with Autism Plan (HCWA)

This plan is available for children undergoing diagnosis/ assessment or treatment for Autism or any other Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD). It provides up to 4 assessment and 20 speech therapy sessions before their 13th birthday. 

Please consult with your paediatrician or psychiatrist for a referral to the Helping Children with Autism plan. 

Your private health insurance may have ‘Extras’ in the their policies that provide a rebate for Speech Pathology services (Speech assessment and speech therapy). Please consult with your private health insurer to find out if you are covered. 

Cancellation fees are applied if 48 hours notice period is not provided via email (admin@sunrisespeech.com.au) or phone (call or text at 0482 966 053). 

Private clients: 

For 45-min missed session: $70 cancellation fee

For 60-min missed session: $90 cancellation fee

NDIS clients: 

Cancellation fees will be charged according to the NDIA policy.
