Fees

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Children under the early intervention scheme, those with a diagnosed condition including Autism, developmental delays or other disabilities may be eligible to receive funding under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Sunrise Speech Pathology provides services to those whose NDIS plan is either plan-managed or self-managed.


We follow the latest NDIS price guide (PAPL 2025) for our rates. Both speech assessment and therapy sessions are charged at the same hourly rate ($193.99/hour). Assessment duration depends on each individual’s needs and complexity. Assessment reports are recommended and will be provided upon request. Reports are charged at the same rate per hour. It may take 1 - 3 hours to complete a report. Session length depends on individual needs. Your speech pathologist will discuss therapy frequency and session length with you to suit your child’s specific needs. 



Service Fees: 

Speech Pathology Session (assessment or therapy): 

$226.32/session 

(including 10-min preparation & planning, 50-min individual face to face session, and 10-min compulsory clinical note writing & follow up)


Longer sessions are available at 10-minute increments, depending on your child’s needs (e.g., 60, 70, 80, 90-min sessions) 

Shorter sessions are available if needed (e.g., 30, 40-min) for younger children due to shorter attention span (please discuss this with your speech pathologist)



For offsite visits: 

+ Travel labour costs** with an hourly rate of $97 depending on the time required for travel to and from the office to service location. 

+ Travel non-labour costs** also applies at 99 cents per kilometre for travel to and from the office to service location. 

**Travel fees will be shared with other participants in the area, if possible. 


Reports and other non F2F time, such as individualised extensive resource making, meetings with teachers or other medical professionals (if required): 

$193.99/hour 


Private clients

For private paying clients, our rates are $189/hour. Speech pathology assessment and therapy sessions are charged at the same rate. 


Service Fees: 

Speech Pathology 60-min session (assessment or therapy)*: $189

Speech Pathology 45-min session (assessment or therapy)*: $142

*All sessions include a 15-min compulsory clinical note writing time and follow up 


For offsite visits:

Other funding options

Medicare rebates

Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP) / EPC plan 


A Chronic Condition Management Plan (previously known as Chronic Disease Management Plan)/Team Care Arrangement/Enhanced Primary Care (EPC). This plan may provide access up to 5 subsidised speech therapy sessions per calendar year. The current rebate is $60.35/session. 


Please consult with a GP for this plan. 

 


Helping Children with Autism Plan (HCWA)


This plan may be available for autistic individuals. It provides up to 4 assessment and 20 speech therapy sessions before their 13th birthday. 


Please consult with your paediatrician or psychiatrist for a referral to the Helping Children with Autism plan. 

Private Insurance

Your private health insurance may have ‘Extras’ in the their policies that provide a rebate for Speech Pathology services (Speech assessment and speech therapy). 


Please consult with your private health insurer to find out if you are covered.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees apply if clients fail to provide 48-hour (2 clear business days) cancellation notice via email (admin@sunrisespeech.com.au) or phone (call 08 7119 8988 or text 0482 966 053), please leave a voicemail if we're unavailable at the time of your call. 


*Sundays and Public Holidays are not considered as business days, therefore please contact us in advance in case of cancellation. 


  • For example, to cancel a Tuesday 10am session following a long weekend (Public holiday on Monday), clients are required to contact us before Friday 10am to avoid late cancellation fees. 



Private clients: 

Late cancellation fees (less than 2 clear business days notice): 50% of the service fee 

No-show's are charged at 100% of the service fee



NDIS clients: 

Late cancellations will be charged at 100% of the service fee according to the NDIA policy of 2 clear business days. 



Our fees are reviewed annually and subject to change without prior notice. Our NDIS fees are in line with the latest National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Price Guide. You can view information about these prices on the NDIS website.
